Marla Dorrel Park and the Kids Together Playground Reopens August 7
Paving work is expected to be completed by August 7. To accommodate the work, the facility will be fully closed from July 20 through August 7. We appreciate the community's patience and support as we complete this capital improvement project, which advances maintenance priorities identified in Cary's Facility Assessment Study and ADA Transition Plan. 50 DAZE Scavenger Hunt and Stamp Rally
Scavenger Hunt July 3-August 24 A series of pop-up artworks by artist Lisa Gaither will appear around downtown Cary! Each artwork will have an accompanying 50 DAZE sign. Show a photo of you and the artwork to the staff at the Cary Arts Center for a prize. Post on Instagram with the hashtag #50DAZE for the chance to win a larger prize at Lazy Daze! Stamp Rally August 1-20 Celebrate the countdown to the 50th Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival with the 50 Daze Stamp Rally! Participants can visit five special locations around downtown Cary to collect a different stamp layer at each stop. Each layer adds a new color to your Stamp Rally card, and once all five are collected, the full Cary-inspired picture will be complete. The Cary-inspired artwork was created by local artist Brittney Soderman, bringing a unique artistic touch to this 50 Daze celebration. Each Saturday, you will find a wonderful lineup of vendors offering all locally-made and locally-grown items. Shop for freshly-harvested produce, handmade local food, and artisan-made goods. Stop by the info booth to learn about their matching program for SNAP/EBT matching program.
