The NCDOT has scheduled two upcoming bridge maintenance closures. On Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Old Reedy Creek Road over Crabtree Creek will be closed in both directions, with no access to the trailhead parking lot or properties north of I-40 from the Cary side. On Wednesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the westbound lane of NW Cary Parkway over Black Creek, between Hampton Lee Court and Norwell Blvd, will be closed.
Cedar Street Parking Deck Is Now Open!
The Cedar Street Parking Deck is officially open to the public in downtown Cary. Located between Cedar Street, Chatham Street, and the newly constructed Rogers Alley, the parking deck contains nearly 300 parking spaces and approximately 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The main access to the deck is on Cedar Street, with elevators and stairwells located in an architecturally distinctive tower element on Chatham Street. Annual Water Disinfection Switchover
In accordance with state and federal recommendations, the Cary/Apex Water Treatment Facility will temporarily stop adding ammonia to its water treatment disinfection process on Friday, February 27. During the switchover, citizens may notice that the water is slightly discolored and that the chlorine odor increases. These minor changes are temporary and a normal part of the annual process. The Nest at Downtown Cary Park is once again nominated for USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Public Playground. After earning the top national ranking last year, Cary’s signature playground is back in the running. Residents can vote once per day through noon on April 6, and no sign-in is required. Final Week To Experience Glow in Downtown Cary
