Black Creek Greenway Phase 2 Reopens as Final Phase Begins Renovations
Black Creek Greenway has reached a major milestone with the reopening of Phase 2 from Livingstone Drive to Weston Parkway. The upgraded one-mile section features improved alignment, reduced flooding impacts, and a new pedestrian bridge over Cary Parkway that closes a long-standing sidewalk gap. The section from Weston Parkway to the Old Reedy Creek Road trailhead is closed as construction begins on Phase 3. The final segment is expected to reopen this winter. International Compost Awareness Week

FY 26 Street Improvements Project
On March 26, the Town Council approved the construction bid award for the 2026 Street Improvements Project. Now through June, construction crews will focus on replacing non-compliant pedestrian curb ramps. Once that work is complete, they will switch to milling and paving, with completion expected before the end of the year.
